After comparing several brands of desktop 3D printers, the additive manufacturing team at Bosch selected Ultimaker as the most reliable, easy-to-use, and professional machine.
Ultimaker 3 Extended printers will now be used in locations across Germany, Hungary, China, India, the United States, and Mexico for printing prototypes, tooling, jigs, and fixtures.
Innovative product development
Bosch is the world’s largest supplier of automotive components and an important supplier of industrial technologies, consumer goods, and energy and building technology.
3D printing will enable their design and engineering teams around the world to save time and costs, meaning a faster time-to-market for new products. Now, with the rollout of Ultimaker technology, Bosch can benefit from a uniform 3D printing solution with materials, training and global support.
‘Intensive selection’
“We are very happy that this well-respected, leading supplier of technology and services chose our desktop 3D printers after an intensive selection procedure,” said Jos Burger, CEO at Ultimaker.
